B0100 - I noticed my DIC says "Service Airbag". Does the code actually narrow this down any?

Electronic front end sensor (impact sensor). Some trucks have 2 others have one. If you have 2, then that code is for the left sensor. Look for the "!" In a yellow triangle picture plug.

My air bag light just popped up. Mechanic scanned it, it's that sensor that went bad. I have an 03 Tahoe.

Sucks! I literally just fixed a coolant leak, impact sensor was fine before. Truck hasn't even left driveway and I get the dic saying airbag.

On trucks with one sensor, it is located in the middle of the radiator core support. I don't know what all you had to do to fix your leak, but you might look and see if the sensor is still plugged in or if it got loosened up during your repair.

I doubt it, I was working at the heater core t fittings on the firewall. I guess possibly some dexcool got spilled on the sensor or something, but that's a stretch since it should be completely opposite where I was. Although there are two wire looms where I was working....I'd not think that a little antifreeze would kill the sensor anyway

Whoops $54.99. still about 10 bucks cheaper than anywhere else I found, and still prime.

Genuine GM 10370149 Airbag Discriminating Sensor, Front https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F672USM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_KTKJzbJXD8XYA

Make sure you have a ratcheting box wrench I think it was 10mm. To tight for a regular ratchet, and you'd need patience with a normal box wrench
