I have a 2009 SSV. The windows are tinted pretty dark. Has anyone on the list worked with back up cameras? Anyone tried to put the camera inside and shoot from the back windows. My guess is that the tint would make the camera useless.

why not just use one that goes on the license plate bracket?
if you don't like the look you could mount it under the bumper where its harder to see
Or I was thinking about drilling a hole on mine and mounting it behind the bumper so it looked more like it was stock

I am probably going to go that route. Less hassle. Fewer problems. Less is More.

I just got the cheap $30 kit on amazon and shortened the mounting bracket
Someone on here has put one in the dash but is more work required cutting a few pieces to get it to work

I just had it installed on my license plate and it works along with my kenwood touch screen. It's pretty cool.
