Hey Guys, I bought the Baer Eradispeed rotor kit last year but I wanna upgrade the calipers now, the stock ones only grab about 3/4's of the rotor and I don't like the way they sit on the rotors. 15" on the front 14" on the back, any advice?

Unfortunately you can't do anything with those rotors. You cannot upgrade the Calipers to anything else. You want be able to use the Aluma sports either because of the mounting points on the caliper. The only thing you MAY be able to do is get Z06 Calipers but then you will need to find someone to measure and make the brackets for them to fit.

I have the same kit, and emailed baer a while back asking if i can upgrade the calipers and they said i can add the alumasport calipers. Heres a copy of the email and part numbers:

Hello,

You can upgrade our EradiSpeed to the AlumaSport caliper (making it an AlumaSport brake system).

Front 4301064 Caliper assemblies with pads both front calipers $895.00
Rear 4302047 Caliper assemblies with pads both rear calipers $895.00

Thx!

Is that what you are going to do Simran? I am needing a brake upgrade but don't think I really want to drop $4500+ on a big brake kit (though they are badass). This looks more like the amount I am willing to spend and I am just wondering how they perform compared to stock?

Theres a guy on performance trucks.net that built the brackets for the gmt900. Looked sick!

Having just the Baer Rotor Upgrade, i have been very pleased with the performance, however the mention of the caliper not sitting better on the rotor has really had be wondering about a caliper upgrade for a while now.
I was close to ordering the Baer Calipers a few months back, then i read some threads on other sites about guys using 2012 cts-v calipers and z06 calipers and that got me interested.

I've also looked at the possibility of using the Wilwood Calipers they offer in their Big Brake Kit for the 07+ tahoes. Based on the site info, they will fit the size of the Baer Rotors, but i need to measure the thickness of my rotors to see if they would work. I believe it was the Wilwood TC6R Caliper up front and the W6A Caliper in the rear.

My main concern is that the Baer calipers are only 2 Piston, vs the 6 Piston CTS-v and Wilwoods.

Thanks for the info, did you order them through Baer? Their website doesn't seem to work to well. Do you still need to use the adaptor brackets to make these new ones fit? Any pics? Man, I would love to buy the Wilwood kit but dropping 5G's on a brake system is a little out of my budget.

Ok, I must have been really wrong about the aluma calipers. Sorry about that. I was just pretty sure that the mounting points of the stock calipers and the aluma sports were different. I will have to dig out my stock ones and compair to the the aluma ones I have now. Sometime this summer/srping I need replace the front rotors because one side I have worn off the slots completely. So I might do the 15" rotors then if I can with the Aluma kit then I will evently have my brother make me a mounting brackets for the Z06 calipers.

I never ordered the alumasports because i have been wanting to upgrade to a the z06 or cts-v calipers instead. The main reason being that the alumasport are 2 piston and the Z06/Cts-v are 6 piston, plus i've seen the GM calipers for cheaper than the Baer. I'm not sure if the the same baer brackets from the eradispeed would need to be used, or if new brackets come with the new calipers. Try shooting Baer an email, i believe i received a response the same day.

Currently I thinking about selling my tahoe, but if i keep it i will try to get this mod figured out, its pretty much the last thing i plan to do, other than some new wheels.

You could be perfectly right. I personally can't confirm that they work, only the fact that the email response from Baer says thats all that only those two part numbers needs to be ordered. I would assume that they provide the brackets with the new calipers, but only contacting them can confirm that.
