Need tool size for the for the upper BJ Big nut on 96 4x4's It not sae so I'am thinking maybe 26mm? Anyone know for sure so I get the right tool while driveshaft is installed. I also think I have asked this before but can someone confirm that the upper and lower C-arm bushings can be replaced my self or will I need some heavy equipment. I have my new Energy Suspension bushings to go in while I do the bj's

Can;'t say for sure about the ball joints but I did have to buy a socket as I didn't have one that fit. I'm pretty sure the guy at AutoZone was able to tell me what size it was. I was able to get my old bushings out with heat, drill and BFH.

Don't know all the quirks associated with the 4x4 arms, but when I replaced the bushings on my 2wd (stamped arms vs. forged), I was able to do it with basic tools, some heat, and a hammer (to get the rubber bushings out of the arms).

I just did my upper bjs on my 96 4x4. I got a 1 inch open end wrench to work, but it was a tight fit. However, it just needed to be broken loose, so a crescent wrench might even work. 1 inch is 25.4 mm I believe, so a 26mm should work.
