Battery light was on. Took my truck to the parts store to test battery and alternator. They said both were fine but the truck wouldn’t start the next day. After hours of charging, I pulled the battery and took it to a different store and battery showed bad cell I had a bad cell so I replaced the battery but battery light was still on so I replaced the alternator. New battery and alternator and now multimeter says all good but battery light still on. I had a cluster swapped out 2days earlier and wondering if they put an earlier cluster in. I’ve read they are not compatible due to state of health voltage difference in 05. If so, can I drive it with light on and will it do anything to my charging system or can I reprogram the cluster or make the light go out ?
