Even though gas prices suck right now, I'd go with the Premium fuel grade tune!! You won't be disappointed, just sucks saying "Fill it up with Premium please" at the pump!

do the high octane, why pay for a tune and leave power on the table. You can have 75% torque management taken out, or like me, I did 100%. Justin is awesome, just tell him high octane and your preference on % of TM removal.

You will LOVE it...I gained 2 mpg.

Can you break down TM removal what does that mean ?? Is that something GM has on the PCM that limits your vehicle ??

Torque Management is what he was talking about!! The power level from the 92 octane was very noticeable but the shifting is to die for!! Shifts like it's suppose to and taking some of the TM out helped a ton on the response!! 92 octane tune is well worth it!!

Gotcha how much TQ didyou have Justin remove and when you say 92 octane that means I have 2 put 93 in my tank from the time of the tune

I'm throwing this out there from a data standpoint, I'm also trying to figure this question out myself...not trying to be difficult :)

for those that received the 92 octane upgrade, did you ever try the 87?

With the price difference in 92 over 87, any idea on the additional benefit?

As an example:
Premium is about 8% higher in price. A 30g fill on regular is $3.80 x 30 = $114. Premium is $4.12 x 30 = $124...$10 more per complete fill.

If you fill up once per week, that is $520/yr. If you keep your truck for 4yrs, $2000+...and that assumes only one fill per week. For $2000 you could run LT headers and/or some other mods. Would it be better to run with more performance mods vs higher octane fuel?

Not trying to be difficult, I just haven't seen numbers or actual comparison between the two to substantiate the higher cost. :)

I've read on the BBP section on this site that a member put 87 instead instead of 92 an he stated that his truck ran better with the lower grade gas .. I would think if you get the 92 octane tune you can add somr octane booster from an auto store once in a while to save some money

I went with a guy that was at our meet when his truck was getting tuned and he got the 87 octane tune and we both weren't as impressed with his power output after than we were with my truck!!
