I went with a guy that was at our meet when his truck was getting tuned and he got the 87 octane tune and we both weren't as impressed with his power output after than we were with my truck!!

Well I'm going with the 92 octane.how much torque management did you remove ??

Also I forgot to mention on my last reply the member did do the 92 octane tune but put 87 fuel an stated it ran better

I don't remember just how much TM he took out but he will ask you a few questions and determine just how much to take out from your answers, so I wouldn't worry too much about that! All I'd worry about on your end is what octane you want to run, if you want Justin to change your shift points in the Tow/haul mode or leave it stock (I left mine stock since I tow with my truck), and make sure you do all your maintenance stuff before the meet or cable tune, which ever you are doing!!

i have both the 87 and 92. I use the 87 more due to gas prices and the fact i can still use e85 on that tune. I run 92 tune every once in a while for fun. I can tell the difference detween the 2

Also add cleaning the throttle body, seafoam the intake, clean the MAF (with the MAF specific cleaner), clean air cleaner filter if dirty! Stuff like that!

Unhook the electrical connector to it, be careful not to touch any of the wires in there at all costs, buy some MAF specific spray, hose it all out and let it air dry, NO COMPRESSED AIR at all because it will dry on its own!!

Got my tune on Saturday and was prepared to do the 93 octane tune. I just started using 93 last week prior to the tune. Alex who was helping Justin out advised me that if I have always used 87 then i could go with the 87 octane tune and use 93 octane from time to time for better performance with no pinging. He said if I did the 93 octane tune and used 87 on occassion that i would experience pinging. So I did the 87 octane. That way if gas prices become an issue I can use 87 with no worries of pinging. Justin said he was going to tune it to give me the best MPG with both octanes. So basically I assume I can use 87 or 93.
