Lol I know Ben but I just didn't know which one Jenna offers as they sell the intake tube by itself, as a full cai kit, or with the drop in filter. I had the full kit on my Tahoe and loved it but now looking to just do the drop in filter and intake tube.

Are you referring to just buying the airraid intake tube and using the factory air box?? what brand filter?? Did you ever do it yet??

Yea thats what I decided to do. I think it will work just as good if not better.

Did you ever do this set up??

I see the mas temp and dyno.temp on the aem and k&n are almost 10 degrees higher then the others.

Could this have skewed the results?

Also was this all running the stock tuming?

How much a difference does it make when the truck is tuned to the intake flow?

So if I've already had a tune via autocal, and I get the air raid jr, should I get the tune updated?

The dyno takes the ambient air temp into account to normalize output.

What is important to determine the effectiveness of the intake, is the delta between the MAF and the dyno temp.

These tests were all done on stock tuning. Tuning will make minor changes, as that engine will have the same g/cyl with all intakes once dialed in.

Yes, when you have your intake installed, grab a log and send it over.

Jenna bear,
Any guesse if these #'s would be similar on the 04 style airboxes? Maybe they would need the swiss cheese mod, i dont know the differences, ive just read about them.
Thanks,

Would NBS Yukon's have the same power comparison as it did with the newer 5.3L engine that was tested? Mine has about 134k miles. I just sent ya an email.
