I don't think you are going to find any unused pins for that but it will be a wire on the bcm that you can tap into

I know there were extra pins since the dealer installed illuminated sill plates a while back… but these are staying lit anytime the headlights are on and are not cycling off with the interior lights.. Dealer already verified correct wiring

What year and model are you dealing with?

Are you planning on adding additional lighting?

Has the dealer checked for bulletins and/or updates to the BCM?

any "open or available factory connectors" are going to depend on your trim level, a LT may have virtually none, a LTII may have "some" and a LTZ typically will have most occupied already, but might still have a couple for the "extra" bells and whistles, things like a illuminated front grill are plugged line-in with a passthru connector so technically there is no open plug for it and it lights up with the running lights.
I have thought about adding the lighted sill plates on mine but not sure how they are "supposed" to operate never investigated it that far, one would assume they should light up like a puddle light does or when the doors are opened but not sure.
GM also will come out the gate with a new model all bedazzled and then as time goes along the penny pincher squad chips away at it till there is nothing left
