Nice looking Tahoe. My esky third tail light costed $100 to have the base color matched to my truck. My original Yukon vent covers costed the same I think to get painted. Now I have esky vents. That is all my parts were off the truck to go to the shop to get painted lol. The chrome bumpers would probably cost more as it takes quite a bit more sanding from what I understand to get it ready to be painted. @Fosscore , makes a good point on the body shop stuff. I'm in California so everything is more expensive here. But I also have a good working relationship with a local body shop cuz he's painted a lot for me and he's kicked some detailing work my way. So it'll depend on your shops.

I appreciate the input, ill have to call around and see what the shops say here in florida.

I'm also very jealous of the condition of your Tahoe! My Denali is the same year, had fewer miles on it 2 years ago when I bought it, and my drivers seat cushion was pretty beat up! Lol. Clean score!

Thank you I appreciate it! I have gone thorough your entire build thread already ha. You have a gorgeous Tahoe Sir. A lot of good ideas came from your thread. My work has a paint shop so I might be able to sneak in there one weekend and paint a few pieces and save me a few bucks. I wont be able to pull the vehicle in there though so ill have to figure that part out as far as bumpers. As far as color matching and it being a 10 year old vehicle, do you think it would still match well?

We are the same year 06. Both metallic, however yours spent more time indoors than mine I'm guessing. My color matched paint projects have matched perfectly thru a few different quart paint orders. You'd be surprised how well it will look. Even though it's been garaged, I'd start out giving her a really good paint detail. Clay, polish, sealant and wax. That will likely really make your truck pop even more since it looks in such great condition.

Removing the parts or your bumpers is really not that hard. First time yes just figuring out how it attaches with a combination of plugs, clips and bolts and getting your hands in there. I have had mine off a couple of times, both front and back. We can easily walk you through it unless you already know how it goes together. These NBS trucks are actually pretty damn easily to pull apart IMO.

Thanks for the compliments. Not sure what part of Florida you are in, but I have a few places to mention in S. Florida and one of the admins is up in Jacksonville who knows some painters. There are plenty of other guys around here that can guide you to painters as well given your local area.

Well that's good to hear that it's all pretty easy to pull apart, I am coming from a 95 hardbody which was too easy to take apart. This is 11 years newer so I figured it would be a little harder.

As far as the paint correction goes I agree, I really want to get a good buff and wax, there are a couple small scuffs here and there that will buff out I just don't have a spot to do it at. I live in the dorms on base for now but I will be buying a house in may so I might just pay someone to do that until I have a garage to work in.

I am in Fort Walton if you know where that's at, way up in the pan handle about 4 or 5 hours from jacksonville

Here is the sub I will be putting in sometime after christmas, just need to buy some wires, some beer and some time to build a box for it.

Was in the Panhandle this summer and thru Fort Waltobn as well.

That 18 should be some big bass and fill that Tahoe well.

Yeah not too hard to pull apart, just sequential.

Bumper cap is all plastic tabs that push thru the bumper but need to be pushed thru from underneath first so that they don't rip off.

Then the lower valance which has a series of pins that pull the center out and then the whole pin pulls out releasing it from the bumper. Fog lights best to come off first. Then the bumper which is all bolts and pulls off.

Rear bumper pads have the same tabs as front bumper cap and then the bumper is bolted on and pulls off.

Not too bad.
