I was hearing a bit of a rushing noise, coming from the rear, that seemed to be per each tire revolution. It could have been the tire(s) or something in the rear end.
I decided to have the oil changed in the diff. and have things inspected. They found a bad bearing between the pumpkin and case. See picture.
Also one of the axle bearings was wearing about 1/2 across and the guy said it would go a long time. To fix this it requires a new axle, speed sensor and bearing. I elected to leave as is.

The guy said the the gov-lock diff I had was vulnerable to breaking. He showed my how the springs were weak by pulling on them a bit. I don't know if they are weak or not. I'm thinking if I change the diff. I'll go to a gear locker e.g. Torsen type. I don't know how long the GovLock will last - I don't engage it often at all - maybe only one time so far.
