I have an 04 Yukon SLT 4wd with 130K hard miles on it. Looking to swap it out for a 6.0L Denali, Escalade, or Hummer, not the cast iron head 2500 for weight purposes up front. I was told I can utilize everything from my motor (computer, injectors, etc.) I would have to get a motor from intake to oil pan, obviously the intakes are different. Is there any truth behind this. Thanks for the help in advance.

Why is the 5.3 already 'beat' at just 130k miles??

Price for your 5.3 complete? my 88' wants a 6.0, but it'll settle for whatever I can throw at it...

Wow 130k. Mine just hit 140 and she still runs great, plenty of power. I'm gonna run mine until it won't go anymore before I even think about an engine swap. But I guess that's just me.

X1 on that...mine is over 185K and runs strong as a mofo and I drive it hard as hell you could trow a cam and some goodies on it and get the performance of a 6.0 no need to totally swap

I know several people with close to or over 300k on theirs. They last forever when properly maintained.
