Came out to the parking lot and tried to auto start and all it would do was start beeping. And it kept beeping and beeping and beeping. Vehicle started and I drove it home and it stopped beeping about 2-3 minutes into the drive home. The minute I pulled into the driveway and opened the lift gate the beeping started again and won’t stop. I disconnected the negative battery post for about 10 minutes and reconnected and it started beeping again. Tried pushing every button on the remote numerous times. Any ideas?

It should, but apparently somethings acting weird. Doesn't hurt to try and maybe reset something.

Not the original owner, no aftermarket alarm and no message.

if the horn is operating normally otherwise then you can just pull the fuse to the horn until you are able to get a deeper look at the problem, if the horn is not working properly then it could maybe be the contacts under the airbag, I wouldn't really know where to start myself maybe get a meter and look up the wiring harness for the horn. a tech2 might be able to pick up why it's going off you would have to do some poking around with it.

Steady honking or on and off pattern like the alarm?

Next time it does it, beat all around the steering wheel with your fist and/or turn the wheel while bumping it to see if it makes any difference. Pop the cover off the Fuse & Relay Center under the hood on the driver side and knock on the horn's relay with a screwdriver handle to see if it's just stuck.

My 2007 Silverado had its horn get possessed where it would blow constantly when the vehicle was turned off. Ended up being due to bad corrosion on the underneath side of the fuse block under the hood.
