I finally got my Belltech drop installed. I used the spindle drop up front and the 4" spring drop in the back. I didn't use the spacer. It took me about 7 hours to do it, but I did take my time. It seems to be riding level now. I will add my before and after measurements.

I have to say that I love how much better the ride is. My daughter isn't a huge fan of how bumpy it gets when she is sitting in the third row. I told her it was like she was riding in the back of the bus.

Before: After:
35 1/2 - RF - 33 1/4
35 - LF - 32 1/2
36 - LR - 32 1/2
36 - RR - 33 1/4

I only measured once. It seems like the measurement should be the same from side to side. The ground was pretty level.

I tow my Jeep on a trailer from time to time. I was thinking it might be a good idea to either add the spacer in the rear, or dial the front down a 1/2" to take towing into consideration. Thoughts?

that looks great!! interesting how yours is lower on the pass side, usually these trucks sit a little lower on the driver side. You might be able to even things up a bit by adjusting your torsion bars up front.

As for the towing, do you still have the air ride components or did you remove it? if you removed it, you could install some helper bags in the rear to eliminate the squat.

I just got underneath to see how much space was between the bumpstops and the control arms. While the truck is parked on level ground, the bumpstops are actually touching the control arms. I am a little confused as to why. They are the shorter bumpstops that came with the kit. I guess I am going to have to put the spacers in.

I will try to go get a picture.

I removed the air ride and replaced with the belltech shocks that Tony sold me.

with the xls you get 1/2 more drop about. Whenever you do the full drop on those you will need to cut the bumpstop brackets off the frame.

in rear also put the spacer in and put in the new bumpstops that came with the kit and you will be set.

the front is normal its allwasy like that not much travel. You can cut those down but if you did spindles that area never changed.

That is what I figured. I will install the spacers, and I already have the bumpstops from the kit installed. The front is fine.

Once I install the spacers in the rear, I am guessing that I will have 1/2-1" clearance from the bumpstops. Is that enough clearance? It seems like there should be more clearance. Even with the spacers installed, should I consider cutting the bumpstop brackets from the frame?

I am looking at my pictures, and I think we installed the new bumstops upside down. I guess if I am gong to mess something up, I would rather it be that. LOL

If you want to do it id cut the bracket off nothing you can hurt. Only thing you will need are rear shorter bumpstops to put into the frame (drill and tap) so if it does bottom out it wont be metal on metal. I sell those for 25 shipped

I installed the spacers today. I measured 33 1/4 on all four corners. The ride is much smoother.. I can still feel it hitting the bumpstops on bigger bumps in the rode.

I did end up cutting the bumpstops a little as well. I have about an inch of clearance. When I get the time to get back under there, I think I am going to cut out the bumpstop brackets. Tony, I will let you know when I need those bumpstops. Thanks for your help.
