Hi guys, 02 Suburban 1500, just finished replacing oil pan gasket and o-ring, as some of y'all may have seen from another one of my threads. Bolted up the front differential and used an impact to secure the bolts, and now I'm wondering if I went too tight on one of them and bent the bracket slightly. I'm trying to get the cross member for the oil pan back on, and the bolt holes aren't lining up at all.... Would I be safe to just wallow out the holes a little bit to get it to line back up? Think the impact may have over torqued that differential bolt, slightly bending the bracket. Not sure what else to do except for wallow out the bolt holes. Already tried light persuasion with a hammer, thing isn't budging.
Could this be caused by slight frame flex due to the truck being in the air? It's weird.
