But I'm trying to make some small sacrifices for my future and my family's future. <sigh> So it's a little stressful. :(
Man i feel you on that. My wife drives the 06 Tahoe, my daughter drives the 06 Silverado ( her grandfathergave it to me to fix for her to drive needed trans and oil pump work) , and me... i drive a 95 f150.
Id love to get a vehicle thats hell even 15 years old but dont want another bill. So they get the "new" vehicles and i rock the literal classic lol.

Well, crapola. Seems most of the major remanufacturers (including Nu Tech for Autozone and XP engines) are all 4-6 week backordered or more.

So I'm back to square one, looking for a low-mileage pulled motor on Ebay. :(

Here's one rebuilt....
Big Power but big compression......LS2 spec
No core though, so you could sell yours and escape for $2500?
Pull the 799s and throw on 317s (about 3 hours of work, use ARP head bolts)
Then compression will be around 10.1 or 10.2.
Would make around 470HP.......
Good engine to go with that stereo.

Or......since you're whining so much.
I'll buy that engine and you can buy my 155K long block for $800
You have to come get it in AZ.
Dump your one headed 5.3 for $400.
Net cost $400
My engine runs fine and has 862 heads.
I didn't run the turbo on this one, I swear.

Yeah that one was gone before I saw it. And in searching Ebay for weeks, never came up in my searches. Oh well...
