One last question.

The only coils I have are for the PPV which are 2" drop coils.

Can I use the 2" drop coils with the struts set at zero drop and the spindles?
Or
Should I just use the 2" drop coils and the spindles?

Goal is for a 4/6 drop, if I'm lower that's ok to.

they are 1 inch drop coils not 2. the other drop comes from smaller tires which gm adds into equation.
Yes you can set the struts at 0 with ppv and the spindles. I wouldnt use dropsprings on oem shocks

From all the info I have gathered in regards to PPV suspension systems, they are dropped 2" all the way around. The suspension system was originally from Pedders, it is also quoted on there site.
I agree about the smaller tires.

Why would you not use drop coils on oe shocks?
What about using the drop coils with the struts and spindles?

Thanks for the help :)

Drop struts, are made for springs srock ot lpeered sonce adjustable.... oe struts get killed fast with drop springs especially if you have higher mileage on the

This is why it's cheaper to just do drop struts overall.

I'm sorry, the first part of your message is kinda wishy washy.

Last question.

What would you recommend I do?
My concern is with the front more than the rear. Coil-overs maybe?
I'd like to eventually be 4/6 but would settle to get me closer.
I just found some rear 5305 from someone who didn't use them in his drop kit.
Thoughts and opinions are much appreciated.
Thanks again

if you want the best ride like i said my 4/6 kit has been proven for years. I had the rear springs sun to my spec. 5305 is a wasite when you want to go 4/6 later.

drop struts are made for 0-2 inch drop
stock struts are not meant for lowering springs ie springs kills them fast.
And if you have a tahoe with over 50k miles your better off doing drop struts vs spending money on coils and keeping the worn out shocks in front

drop struts for 2 inches and a 2 inch spring will not align even with a camber kit and ride harsh because your literally going to be bottoming out the shock which will kill seal inside.

This is why drop spindles for 2 inches and drop struts is another better way to go

Drop struts and spindles with your coils it is.
So now I need to find some stock front coils, correct?

I'm sorry to be such a bother, never dealing with adjustable struts is really throwing me for a loop for some reason.

I'll sell what I don't use

Thanks again

That'll give me the 4" up front, correct?
How's the ride with this set up?
Will I need an alignment kit? Bushings or bolts?

Thanks again Tony, I know I've been a difficult person to deal with
