If I wasnt looking to get a custom tune and just wanted a handheld pocket programmer, what is considered the best for our trucks? I have heard good things about DiabloSport InTune I1000. Where I live E85 often runs around $2.79 gal and I run that in the summertime.

I would say save your money until you can get a tune. Your not going to get much out of a handheld programmer. I have used pocket programmers in the past and for a little more money the tune is worth every penny!

I have the Hypertech Max Energy and I'm pretty happy with it. It does everything I wanted it to do. I've seen a 1mpg gain in city driving, but haven't had it out on the hwy long enough to get a mpg reading on it. I do have the AFM turned off. I was going to do the BB tune but the wife bought the Hypertech for me as a B-day present.
