The Thule cross bars do look nice. I just can’t get behind the $699 price tag. That’s insane IMO.2022 Suburban LT.
Going to need crossbars to mount a Thule box.
OEM bars looks super dumb in the photos, they seem quite tall.
Anyone running a Thule system or ?? And have any recommendations?
Thanks!
Agreed, they look nice but they are $$$$The Thule cross bars do look nice. I just can’t get behind the $699 price tag. That’s insane IMO.
Good info, I ended up ordering a Thule system, I'll post up once I get it installed. They had a 20% off sale through the weekend so it dulled the pain a bit on the priceFWIW, I went all in on Thule for my new 2022 Suburban LTZ. Came with factory crossbars, but I wanted a cleaner look, so bought Thule Wingbar Evo 150 crossbars, fit kit and podiums along with their Snowpack Extender (6) and the Motion XT XXL box (box is yet to arrive).
I can tell you I'm fighting wind noise and whistling at 68MPH+. This is with the ski racks installed. Even with the sunroof shade closed, it's really irritating. Haven't had the time yet to try to resolve, but plan on digging in this weekend. Unfortunately, I've got a small scratch on the passenger flush rail where the factory crossbars were installed so moving the crossbars back permanently is going to take some touch-up or a trip to the auto body shop to correct.
Will check with the ski racks off to see if it persists. If it does, first step will be moving the racks back a bit, possibly going the black paracord wrap route around the front bar, but can say I'm currently disappointed. Hopeful I can get it resolved, but thought I'd take the time to post.
If anybody has any advice or recommendations, would sure appreciate it.
Just got around to taking off the Snowpack Extender ski racks, leaving on only the Wingbar Evo crossbars. No whistle or noise at any speed. Looking forward to hearing your results.Good info, I ended up ordering a Thule system, I'll post up once I get it installed. Glad to see somebody else get their truck dirty around here!Any pics or updates on the noise? I too am trying to decide what bars to get for my 23 z71 suburban. No ski rack but possibly a box. Not sure which one yet. The bars will mainly hold surfboards and possibly lumber from home depot runs.
Only 600 miles and this thing is already so filthy. Getting a bath today.
