GMPP warranties have a lot of price variations depending on the dealer. Usually there is a dealer somewhere in the US that sells them far under most dealerships. I haven't bought one in a while and was curious if there's some consensus of who that "discounted" super GMPP dealer is currently.

I just purchased an extended protection plan (GMEPP not GMPP) that is a General Motors plan that will be tied to my VIN number. When taking my Denali in for service, they will see that I have the policy on my new vehicle. While there are several configurations available, I choose the 60 month/75,000 mile with $100 deductible. My price was $1140 for the Platinum plan coverage. Great price, in my opinion. This is the least expensive that I have found anywhere.

GMPP = ALLY
GMEPP = General Motors

I purchased it from a guy named Dennis Fichtner at Laurel Chevrolet in Montana. He has tons of good references all over the internet and vehicle forums. If you'd like a quote on a GMEPP policy, Dennis can be reached at:

I went through Dennis for another 48 month/48000 mile extended warranty for my 2014 C7 Corvette. This was my second extended warranty, which I expected to be on the high side since at the warranty end point the car will be 11 years old. He has a very good reputation on the C7 Corvette Forum, and I'm a satisfied customer. At the time I purchased in April he was knocking off $200, so the discount could be less now or more, don't know.

Thanks. I actually bought my C6 warranty from Dennis. Great group of folks and the price could not be beat. I'll make sure I reach out to him when ready to pull the trigger. I'm at about 17k miles, so I have a little more time.

Before I joined here, I was searching for info on an extended warranty for my new2me 2019 Yukon Denali with high miles. Went with the recommendation here. Dennis' price could not be beat for a GMEPP Platinum. Got the warranty in less than 30 minutes. I had shopped for a day or so. His price was the cheapest of 4 quotes and he was very easy to work with.

Edit: Dennis pointed out the following in his correspondence (on 9/30/21) regarding the difference between the GMPP and GMEPP:

Differences between the old GMPP and the new GMC Protection Plan:

GMPP is a product of Ally Bank and we no longer offer this plan here at the dealership

Ally will not have access to GM records and the submission of claims by dealers may be not be transparent to the customer

GMC Protection Plan (GMEPP) is a product of General Motors

GMC Protection Plan (GMEPP) offers the same coverage as GMPP with this additional benefit: * Coverage for ride control suspension & shocks
