Are you in canada? Stanely is a good brand but they go on sale at Canadian tire allllll the time. You can get the 200 piece set for that same price and it comes in a cool matte black or even red or blue

IMO just do preventive maintenance properly, you wont need too lug around anything but yourself and passengers.
Keep ontop of fluid levels, Grease it and check hoses and ujoints every once in a while. If you kinda do that then you can allways make her back to home base.

I think the guy just wanted to know about basic tools to have. Ps a jack.

Somewhere along the line we started talking about a total truck kit....Tony

And while I respect your opinion, I am a fan of carrying a truck box, yet doing as you mentioned. I would never leave home without my box

By greasing it he means all the zerk fittings. Ball joints, u joints etc... if you take your truck in for an oil change they are supposed to do them all for you. Just ask and make sure

Lol, I can't help it. I used to travel 200 miles a day for 8 years, just back and forth to work. I encountered a few problems along the way, so I was just trying to give him the benefits of my experience. I've also given the same advice to my kids. Better to be prepared. It's a lonely road when you're sitting on the side of it, stuck.
