I have a 2001 Tahoe and i want to paint both my front and rear bumpers white. Should i get them professionally done or just plasti dip them? I'd like it to last, its just plasti dip will be much cheaper than professionally painting them.

That's what i was thinking, because if i dip them it will cost me a case of beer and I'd say about 10 or 15 cans of spray. If i get them painted it'll cost about $150 a piece.

Dip them they will be fine

He said he would like it to last.

Plasti-Dip is a temporary coating. If you do your front bumper and it starts to chip (which it will) you can fix it once or twice before you have to peel it off and redo the whole thing.

I like to do things right the first time so I say have them professionally painted.

Just get it done professionally. For a couple of hundred bucks, you can't bean something that will last, and if it doesn't, you can hold the body shop accountable and most of them are good at honoring their work. Don't be cheap...remember, you get what you pay for.
