Haha...no thanks. I'm from Wisconsin, and left. I like it here most of the time, I was just starting to get into the spring groove.

We did manage to break our annual snowfall record today, though. This is officially the snowiest winter in Anchorage, AK ever. I've got a 15 foot pile on my front lawn from the road crews. I figure I'll see the grass again sometime in late June....

If it makes anyone feel any better, I haven't seen temps above the very occasional 70's here in years and would kill for a tropical vacation....

I don't own a house in Illinois. My house is in southeast Virginia. The beach is only a few minutes away. A word of warning though. When you get within 2 miles of Virginia Beach keep an eye to the sky and watch for falling F-18s. The cars that got the jet fuel dumped on them yesterday were on I-264.

Spent most of my time on Oconomowoc Lake. My parents grew up there, grandparents lived there until they passed away a few years ago. Didn't spend much time there any time recently...been years and years since I even visited. Really no reason to anymore, all the family has moved.

I actually miss the Alaskan winters. Now I live in a place where the people freak out and the city shuts down when it snows a few inches overnight. But even more depressing than snow is rain. It's so rainy and gloomy here during the winter months they say it's a contributing factor to people taking their own lives.

Yeah, my parents live in the Bellingham area now. Sounded like this winter in particular really sucked. I'd rather have snow than rain any day.

I'd miss Alaska if I left, but that doesn't mean I don't like warm vacations now and then.... ;)

Last time I was in TX I about died. They were breaking high-temp records all over the place. It was like 110 or something inhuman. Spent most of my time submerged in the Gulf or inside in A/C.

You can keep that much heat...lol.

Seems like everytime I go anywhere they are breaking high-temp records. Happened to me in Hawaii, TX, WA and Idaho. Went to Seattle a few years ago for about a week and it was like 100 degrees, which was NOT what we went expecting.....
