"Better" lift gate/hatch pistons?

Installed my last night. They are bada$$ totally worth doing even if your hatches have a little life left in them.

Agreed. Did mine yesterday and even though my existing supports were only a year old, the new ones clearly lifted with more authority.

I'd welcome an even more powerful lifting solution, but this is much better than the factory spec supports.

I don't know if you guys knew this or not, but the storeys mayer if you have a steel vs aluminum lift gate. I removed my steel lift gate and replaced it with aluminum using the same supports and all i can say is damn, this thing lifts so quick and almost hit me in the face....every time

You can spec higher weight rated pistons if you want... on the supplier website....

I'm SURE you can get the info to "upgrade" the glass pistons too...

Here are the stock specs, as per Lift Support Depot's web site, and the struts that I think MIGHT work that have a little more lift force - be aware that I have not tried these yet... use them at your own risk.

Just ordered these for the glass:

Lift Supports Depot SX185P60 Gas Charged Lift Support 60525W

Lifetime warranty so what the heck!
