It was an ebay one that was suppose to be 250 Amp but it didnt get 250 amps until after like 1700 RPMs or something like that, could that be the issue?

And how many AMPS on the Alternator would be good once I have all of my system installed and will be pulling around 2500 watts RMS?

Remember, you get what you pay for. Sometimes you don't know what is really being sold on eBay- go with what you are comfortable paying for.

This one https://www.dcpowerinc.com/fit/2004~GMC~Yukon-XL~5.3L-V8/8237-270-xp.html looks really good, it puts out 200 amps at idle. If I were to go with one that puts out this much power I am assuming that I will have to have a deep cycle battery.

Who was the seller on ebay? Mechman sells his alternators on ebay which is one of the top alternator builders.

I don't remember who it was but I'm pretty sure it wasn't Mechman. It was only around $200 bucks.

Today I tested my voltage and at the battery I'm getting about 14.5 volts and back at the amp it's getting around 13.6 volts. When the bass hits and all my lights dim its dropping to 12.5 at the battery and that's about the same as its dropping at the amp. So what does this mean?
