better tires for my new 2023 Yukon Denali

I have a '21 Silverado RST trim with factory 22" x 9" wheels. Black ones! I wanted 305/45R22 tires but was a little concerned about the rim width. 9.5" seemed to be the consensus for the minimum rim width. But at the DTD site for Michelin Defender LTX M/S2, they show 9.0" - 11.5" as the rim width range. I even called the local DTD store the the guy there verified.

It may be different brands of tires may have different specs. Here is the link to the page that has the specs. I have some of these on order now!

My ex has went through a few sets of 305/45/22 toyos at3’s on the factory wheels. They wear just fine. No issues.

This site in link is neat to play with to see diameter and width etc. Just put size tire in and calculates dimensions.
