Why not go to BGF Mud Terrains? They have pretty good road manners(better than the Nitto Mud Grapplers I used to have) and are outstanding off road.

I had a set of the BFG All Terrains on an '87 K5. With a rotation every 4500 miles (damn straight axle), 3 seasons of plowing (only plowed out gas station), we got about 85k miles out of the set.

I thought that was impressive! :)

I had two sets of BFG and loved them. Great tread and great wear. Only reason I had 2 sets is cause the truck sat for a couple years with minimal driving and they dry rotted.

My only issue with them was they are loud. Maybe because I was running 305's with addition to the Duramax. But great tires non the less.

Depends on what you plan to do. The Trail Grapplers are a much more agressive tread, and will perform better off road. However, the BFG AT's will last longer. The BFG's don't do well off road. They pack up with mud real fast and lose traction quickly.

If you don't plan to go off road much, I would go BFG AT's. If you do some mild off roading, then the Trail Grapplers would be my choice.

Just to clarify I think hes referring to Terra Grapplers.

Ive had both and I will never buy another set of my BFG's. I absolutely love my Terra Grapplers. They wear amazing unlike the BFG's. They are very quiet at highway speeds, they are great on sand dirt snow and mud. I was actually very surprised how well the did in mud. My dad made the mistake of getting BFG's on his 2500 and cant wait for them to wear out so he can replace them...Ive had Pro Comp AT that have lasted longer.

I have a set of 33' Terra Grapplers on my hoe and couldnt be happier with them. Ive had them for over a year and they barely show signs of wear. They do great off road and I personally think that they are very quiet on the road. My cousin has the BFG's and he is having wear inconsistancies even though he rotates every oil change and has had his truck realigned time and time again. PLUS, I think that the Terra Grappler tread design is much better looking than the BFG's :)
