Planning on doing the big 3 upgrade but am confused by the various ways it has been done. If I understand correctly, the big 3 adds 2 ground wires and 1 positive wire to the system.
The ground wires seem straight forward - run a waiter from the battery to alternator bracket, then run another ground to chassis. I am a bit confused on the power wire:
Some people just run a thicker wire from the alternator to the red box…others do that and add another wire that goes from the alternator directly to the battery. Which way is right?
We are talking about an 03 Tahoe 5.3
