Hello, I have a 2016 Tahoe LT with the stock 20's There is a recall on the tires and I wanted to try and find out what the biggest tire size I can run on these rims is w/o any rubbing or issues. I have a lot of soft sand in my area (FL) and want something more aggressive. I may raise it later but after the warranty is up. Anyone know the biggest tire that fits? Any recommendations on a tire brand/series for mostly street but some sand? I am not really worried about road noise as long as it is not ridiculously loud

Try going to Tire Rack and compare the tread width/footprint of different makes in your size and one to two sizes larger. The wider tread will "Float" in the sand and that's what you want. The trick is to find a tire with equal or close dimensions in the over all diameter...so you don't change the revolutions per mile. This affects the total final gearing and speedometer/odometer settings.

In my visual comparison...the Goodyear Eagle appears to have a wider tread than others but I haven't compared it.

Circumference wise, I don't think you can go larger than whatever 275/55/20 measures out to be

I have 275/60/20 thanks to a 1.5" front level, I don't think I could even fit 275/65/20

305 55 20s, with a spacer I think 1" would be good someone may correct me but go 1.5" to be safe. you would also have to trim some around the front wheel well and rear some. Also at least a leveling kit would be suffice.

I do not know if there is a link, onstar sent me an email and my dealer also called me. 2 weeks ago I had the airbag recall done, it was a computer issue done in 30 minutes. I have purchased other vehicles there and they are great about getting it in and fixed quick.

Yeah I do plan on raising it but not for another year or two in case I trade up, also why I do not want to cut at this point. I just did not know if someone knew the largest size tire it could fit completely stock
