theres nothing to crush because im basically riding with no bumpstop in front. i think thats why ive been getting that rough ride. theres no cushion between the control arm and the frame. gonna go pick up some z71 bumpstops from the dealer and install them this weekend along with helper bags in the rear, well see how it rides after. i want to avoid raising the torsion keys for now because i like how the ride height is now. any higher in the front the car will sit lower in the rear.

z71 stops are just firmer then stock ones. You NEED those bump stops up front which are called jounce stops they give the t bar a progressive rate feel. The more there crushed the worst the ride. No bump stops and decranked keys will shock and no shock will make it better. Good luck man.

went to put on the front bumpstops. the whole bumpstops holder has been cut off. now theres nothing to hold the bumpstop in place. should i mount one on or should i just leave it with no bumpstop?

With 2" dropped spindles and keys cranked down, mine's riding just fine up front. I had a couple different shocks and switched over to the HD Bilsteins with good results, even with just an inch clearance from the control arms to frame. I haven't had bumpstops on mine for yrs and the front rides just fine. Swapping over to the Bilsteins made a big difference.
