I'm a bit pickey and hope someone may be able to help me out here. I just picked up a 2008 Tahoe 5.3l. It's completely stock... For now. Eventually with some upgrades I want to add a black bear performance tune. I'm also interested in being able to switch between tunes like when using edge chip products, allowing me to put vehicle into a economy, towing mode as well as swapping back to the black bear performance tune all with ease using a edge controller. Any thoughts on how to make this possible?

You won't be able to use an Edge tuner to swap between tunes. It does not have the capacity to make the same changes to tunes that EFILive does. Edge typically only changes 5-10 tables, we can change 100s.

That being said, the easiest way for you to swap a tune, would be via the AutoCal. Customers can save all their tunes to their home computers, and flash and go as needed.

Thanks JennaBear. Looks pricy but may help achieve the goal here. What I'm really interested in is having a professional performance tune, towing tune, as well as an economy tune. Would I need to purchase these 3 different tunes separately, I understand the tunes are quite pricey as well, maybe a deal could be worked out there. I'm also interested in having a device like the edge mounted on the dash just for looks and monitoring information, would you happen to have any suggestions for a device like that?

The AutoCal price includes tuning for the first vehicle (it can tune up to 8 total). Tune updates are free. For monitoring, I run an Aeroforce interceptor.

Sent from my fone.
