Got it, no more Costco.

Data Logs sent. Look forward to hearing back from Justin.

Update: DIC is now at 12.2 avg mpg after wifey drove back from work.

I understand the DIC isn't accurate and am not concerned about it being exact. My concern is why the big difference before and after? It's a direct comparison--Apples to apples. As I haven't changed gas and have always gone off the DIC reading.

@Jenna, have you heard of this happening before? Ive never seen the DIC read below 16 mpg, let alone 12.2.
I'm guessing you'd have heard about it if so.

When I change the gas, do you think I'll really gain back 4-5 avg mpg just from that?

When I went and talked to a tune guy in my area, (about 6 months ago) he works on all sorts of vehicles but is most knowledgeable in exotics, high end Porsches and such he said you almost have to not drive the vehicle to actually see a gain in mileage. Since there is a big reduction in torque management your day to day in town driving is going to use more fuel since it is easier and more fun to drive. Where as if your on a highway trip like JZ with possibly the cruise set it is driving easier so wont take as much power to go. Hope this makes sense call or text if you want to hear more about what the guy was telling me. It actually was pretty interesting and made sense me and h talked for about 30 min. I still would want to do the bb tune but at a 4-5mpg loss it is not going to be cool, plus im not sure what were even doing yet! I'm pretty sure were going to hang onto the hoe for a few years though.

^^^THIS. Makes me happy :)

Thanks for the info bro.

Justin emailed me back and said something similar. Sent some additional logs and Going to have wifey drive it in M6 (manual mode) for the next couple days, based upon his recommendation, and see if the stock transmission settings improves it.

Yeah makes me pretty happy too, I really wanted a diesel (still do) that 800 ft lbs of torque is insane!!!! Just can't and don't want to do 2 car payments right now and want the wifey and kids safer in the Hoe rather than my Honda. NW motorsports did offer me 47,500 for the tahoe which is extremely hard to pass up, but can't beat the kids safety and the wife doesn't want to drive the diesel around. Enough thread jacking...sorry. Keep us updated on what's going on.

@2011tahoe, word.

So Justin said the gas is a little suspect from the readings on the fuel tables, and recommended the 89 tune while running thru the remaining gas.

I switched the tune, reset the DIC to 0, and will have wifey run in Manual mode for the next couple days during her commute. I'll report back after.
