Been looking around to swap out my chrome grill as I am not the biggest fan of chrome on vehicles, and I'd like to get a black grill, assembly shell, and black front bumper. Through my looking around, I see there aren't that many options.

There is the T-Rex kit for a whopping $330

Newegg had one made by Matrix that looked pretty slick, it was $180 but now it appears they don't carry it anymore.

And then there are the OEM looking ones for real cheap on eBay for about $83

Anyone know of any other black ones? I'm tempted to go with the OEM style one just because of the huge price difference between that and the T-Rex. I would go with the Matrix model for $180 if I could find it anywhere, but I can't. If I go with the OEM look, is there any particular place that sells a higher quality black one than the above mentioned eBay link? It appears the cheap black one is plastic while the nicer ones are aluminum.

Also anyone know a good source for black stock bumpers? I don't care if it's matte black, that would actually work best for me.

grills are plastic. you can put a black sport grill on a non sport. its just a non chromed grill. you could even have the factory ones painted black. my grill and previous bumper were color matched.

I'm talking about the whole assembly shell being painted, is that what you mean? Current assembly is chrome, and from what I've been reading it's a real pain to get it painted anything other than chrome.

unknown at this time.
That is what he means. When we refer to the grill we mean from one fender to another, above the number to underneath the hood, with openings and mounts for light side markers and reflectors. Basically the big hunk of plastic on face of truck.

Some users go the plastidip route.

Just called LMC, their replica grills are plastic :( Looks like I'm better off getting one from eBay if I go with a non-billet as the LMC ones are about $175 shipped whereas I can get one off eBay for around $120.
