yesterday i got under my truck and noticed 2 hoses off one i take it has someting to do with the fluid it had came loose from the rear of the trans the other 1 is coming from the top of the trans near the bell its cut near the rear and cant seem to find where it goes .also every now and then i can start the truck and it stalls out so i have to hold the pedal down to the floor for it to crank and black smoke will come out then it runs fine .its not all the time but would like to know what could be the problem and fix it .new fuel pump put on about 3 months ago ,also seafoamed this sat.

There is a breather hose that hangs down on the passenger side of the trans. It is hooked up near the top of the trans, about a ¼” in size.

So codes 12, 15 and 32. You will always get 12 as the first code so do not worry about it. Code 15 means that the coolant sensor circuit is low or open, it is reading a temperature lower than -26°F. Code 32 means your EGR valve is not working properly. The coolant sensor will relay the information it gets to the PCM and that will tell the EGR whether or not to open.

Does the truck idle rough when it is warming up? I would replace the coolant sensor, they are only around $20 and simple to remove and install. Also make sure you check all the wiring for it. Disconnect the batter before removal and installation and let it sit like that for 10 minutes, hook it back up and check the codes again.

Yeah, it is on the intake manifold next to the thermostat housing. Disconnecting the battery will erase the codes stored on the PCM, I would do this before you do anything else though. You might be reading codes that you have already take care of.

You can check the EGR by removing it, press on the diaphragm and place your finger over the vacuum nozzle.. The diaphragm should stay in place and should go back once you remove you finger from the vacuum nozzle. If you want to clean it use some throttle body cleaner then wipe it down.

Also, when was the last time a tune up was performed?

LMAO last, but not least if you do take off the EGR valve make sure you get a new gasket for it.
