Hey guys,

I have decided to ask you guys for your input because I just can't decide and I keep getting confused with tire and wheel sizes. Thanks for your help in advance.

Definite must haves:
All black rims
Nitto 420s

What I'm leaning torwards:
KMC Skitch (20 or 22)
unsure of tire size (maybe 305/50/R22)

Originally, I was thinking about a 20" wheel but because black wheels always look smaller I figured 22" would be better. I will definitely not go any larger than 22". I use this Tahoe for work (sales) and drive conservative type engineers around for lunch and I don't want anything that looks too low-riderish. With that in mind, I don't want a "low profile" type tire. I want there to be plenty of sidewall but not too much. I realize this is extremely subjective which is why I would love some photos from you guys if you are running 305/50/R22 tires.

It appears as if 6x139.7 is the proper bolt pattern. Is that right? It also looks like I don't really have a width option (22x9 or 20x8.5). Which Backspacing, +15 or +35? If you have other suggestions for all black wheels, let me know what they are.

I don't want the ride to be jaring so that is a concern and I would rather there not be rubbing, but a little at first would not be a problem.

Also, I need to decide what to do with my old wheels and tires. There is plenty of rubber left but the wheels are just basic cheap LT stock wheels. Also, what are your thoughts on selling them or keeping them (for when I sell the tahoe someday) and should I get new TPM sensors or use the old ones?

Again, I would love to see your tire/wheel combo photos if you are running 22's. Please post them, even if you don't have black wheels, I would love to see them.

I will post my photos as soon as I make up my mind and get them installed which I'm hoping is soon.

Thanks.....

Thanks for that Blazed but I am having a hard time finding that info online. I tried going to Chevrolet's website and building a tahoe with 22's, which I did, but it would'nt give me the new tire size. Do you have any ideas on where I can find this info?

Thanks...

Thanks guys. I also looked on Nitto's website and their available sizes and I have narrowed it down to two different sizes:
the 285/45R22 and the 305/45/R22.

I realize the 285 is the safe (non rubbing) choice but I think I would prefer a little bit more sidewall. From what I remember reading the rubbing on the 305/45 rubs a bit but goes away quick, or its only in reverse, or its easy to trim the wheel well guard.
Can anyone speak to this? Photos, so I could see how the proportions of the wheel and tire combo looks??????

What do you guys think about the backspacing question?
Did y'all sell your stock wheels and tires?
did you buy new TPMS or reuse the originals?

305 on 22 make then look tiny.
I would 285 personally it's a nice stance and keeps 22 looking big and they still protect against curbs.

How do you like your 12w3v3's? Any photos?
I just ordered one JL 12w3v3 2 ohm and a ported enclosure yesterday. I can't wait to put it in.
