Exactly what Luke said. I took the step bars off to do them and to get to the side rocker trim easier, being that I just taped off everything. If you don't unclip everything, the precision of the taping is where you'll see what quality job ya get.

just finished up with all the painting. i took everything off, cleaned it really good, painted it and put it all back on. was pretty easy just took a while. thx guys for the inspiration. one of those mods thats doest cost hardly any money and you get the satisfaction of doing it your self.

its molded in the grey plastic cause it was prolly the cheapest. But its not painted to give trim options and be cheaper than if it was painted (which ups the price)

i have a white 04 tahoe, i like the grille on yours. im thinking about doing the same thing to my grille and the mirror caps and the bumper molding. i was just wondering how you got the color to match up so good? and was it originally chrome?
