If it was me and I wanted a truck........I would get a real truck. DIESEL and all.

Otherwise, I say be content with what you have. JMHO.

It depends not everyone wants a diesel and the upkeep that comes with one

You can turbo a gas engine for cheaper. With a diesel plan on everything being a lot more, oil changes at least $100 if you do them yourself, $60 fuel filters every other oil change or so, cost of diesel. If something breaks it is a hell of a lot more expensive also. Kid is 17 I would stick with a gas motor.
