I think you could go without welding if you use the locking washers AND Red Thread locker.

Just changing out some cheap temp HIDs and realized they damaged my headlight housing....
It's one thing after another it's a good thing new painted housings are on the list.

You would need new brackets though right.

I hope Tony is following this thread, as he sells a lot of DJM as well.

Modded said they are basically one and the same.

I read elsewhere they are just valved differently.

I was just thinking 5100's this time because I have the HD's on my Excursion and I was not too happy with them.

The Tahoe / Suburban are much lighter trucks than my old tank so I wouldn't have a issues with HD's.

Woah. I forgot what I said, but I meant the Bilstein 4600s and HDs are one in the same. The 5100s are in a different league.

I feel bad for you having to go through this NightMare Josh.
Haha well thanks for your sympathy

Well if DJM is this bad it needs to be known and it isn't his fault it's bad and it's a popular brand so it makes sense to sell it.
And no the brackets are fine just need a new way to hold them down.

Jk just don't want to have to go through this and want something simple like a kit

I feel like this might out better than any kit.

The only good that came from the shock extenders being shit is I found out that the belltech coils are not the issue.

The Bilstein HDs are Bilstein 4600s. They have stiffer valving than stock, but softer valving than the 5100s.
The 5100s are stiffer to keep the tires on the ground.
