Well my wheels don't have chrome but they've been powder coated 11 times...

I haven't paid 11 times but it seems it's quite hard to not to have huge gashes in them when I try to pick them up.

chrome plating process weakens wheels also.

Definitely heard of this.

i like 330's. i don't care if they're cheap and a lot of people have them.. i had the fig lug version (335's IIRC) on my S10 and i loved them! i'd rather lift my tahoe on ltz OEM 20's and aggresive tires than downgrade to a 22" rim... that is just dumb.

Ok well that is more than likely your issue. The wheels are just weak now.
