Hey everyone. Well it's near spring time and as usual stuff starts rusting. So it seems I sprung a brake leak on a line going.to the right rear brake and am hemorging fluid fast. I want to block off the port at the master cylinder. My question is what type of bolt would allow me the block off the port? Wouldn't that be 3/16? Also which port do I block off. The front or rear port at the master cylinder? Just making sure. I believe the port nearest the firewall is for front brakes.

I'm here...I'm there...I'm everywhere. You people think you live in a perfect world or something? And relax it's a stopgap fix. I don't drive the damn thing. I just don't want kritters in my neighborhood getting poison. Boy..some people really have nothing better to say. I'll be sure to steer clear from people of your ilk.this forum really has devolved. Next time either give a straight answer and help out needy. Or shut your yapper and be content. Nobody wants to hear your self righteous indignation.

The people here are some of the most helpful and insightful i’ve ever seen on an Internet forum. I honestly do not see much if any of the typical “holier than thou” stuff so common on auto forums.

You posted a very questionable thread and got some playful responses, and now according to you the forum is devolved.. your loss .. lol

I don't assume. You shared nothing of your driving habits about the vehicle and what the final purpose was after "rigging" a stop gap procedure. Take my joke personally. Fine. I will not lose sleep. Lots more details in the beginning always help. But, you know, I am a turd, so I would not listen to anything I say. Happy trails.

Well, you seem to have assumed that he would be driving it after plugging the MC port. I didn't take it that way.

While it would have been better if he had explicitly stated that this was a stopgap effort to keep the MC from going empty and that he wouldn't be driving it while it was temp'd, I'll grant you that it could have been read either way.

Let's all chill a bit and make suggestions if you're so compelled, but there's no need to jump to conclusions before asking a direct question or two.
