My 2003 Tahoe suffered a instant rash of electronic issues all of which based on my research point to the BCM. I posted in another post my initial problems and the one consensus was the BCM. I have scoured the net and have found little information pertaining to my model Tahoe in regards to the BCM. Based on what I have found it is located under the steering column. Other than that I do not have anything to go on. My plan is to replace it based on a new BCM. My question is what other issues are there potentially that I will run into other than just swapping the old one for a new one. Will it need to be programmed by a shop? Is there a learning sequence I need to go through for the new unit? Is there anything else I need to be aware of if I replace it? My concerns based on what little I know is will the radio work again (as of now it is locked out like it is stolen)? Will the keyless entry work again (As it doesnt work now)? Am I missing anything else? I have looked over the forum here and cant find much. Any input would be appreciated.
