Im thinking about doing a 2 inch body lift, along with a 2 inch suspension. Has anyone ever been hands on with the dreaded body lift? What is all involved? Any and all tips/help/info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

I've got I an its not dreaded. Lot of people cry about the they aren't bad I've had 2 trucks on body lift and they've both been fine. It's pretty easy especially since your just doing a 2in. Your gonna have to ram out the shif linkage and add the spacer that comes with it. Loosen up all body bolts but on blast them days before. Have the bolts loose on both sides but not off and then pull bolts on on side and lift put blocks and bolts, lift other side and put blocks and bolts, make sure its good and tighten them down. Put the extended linkage on, modify the fan shroud I put spacers and had to trim the bottom part. Adjust the ebrake and put the bumper brackets on front if oem bumper and for rear bumper to lift your gonna have to weld it on since no brackets are avalible for us

And surprisingly my body bolts have no rust. Shocking for a michigan truck. Got a suspension maxx dealer near me whos hooking me up with 2 inch blocks and u bolts, he told me i can just crank my torsions, 2 inch is perfect without getting new keys.

The shift linkage is easy to take out you just see where it is from the firewass and take that off and go under and take it off from the bottom and its easy to extend. My total time was maybe a day and a half since it was my first time doing it. I can probably do it now in a couple hours but I also did have a frozen snapped body bolt. Pb blast days before and I would blst them daily If I we're you to get the crud out

The back 2 bolts were the ugly bolts for me but mine was in North Carolina for a bit then brought down to tx for the rest of its life

Under my rig is pretty much mint. I was shocked when I looked. Only paid $1500, it had 184k on it when I got it

Nice. Mine looks mint under it but like I said the back 2 were nasty. I only have a lil surface rust I grinded off the roof but other than that no rust. I would lift on a weekend tho since you would have more time. Maybe start on a Friday

idk because of the 2in bl. but theres the fan shrouds. shifter, steering, ebrake and possibly the 4x4 linkage that needs to loosened. right?
