If I was to install a 3" body lift, seeing how it comes with bumper brackets to fix the gaps...would I be able to install an HD bumper and NOT have to modify the stock brackets since the body would be lifted 2"-3" already? Just wondering if anybody has any input or info on this. I want to do both and if I don't have to cut and weld the brackets for the HD bumper, then that's a win for me cause I don't weld...

I believe u have to move the bumper brackets 1.25-1.50" for HD front bumper and grille. If you run a 3" body lift u will have a 1.5 gap. 2" body would prib leave close to .50" gap.

Maybe you could modify the body lift bumper brackets but if you are doing that you mine as well just do the ones on the frame

Hey bro, did you finish the lift? I don't have a ton of experience working on cars, but was thinking of tackling this lift on my own. What kit did you use and did you have any issues with anything?

I did the silverado 1.5" lift kit on my tahoe and have no gap at all between the HD bumper cap and HD grill, very happy with it

What did or how did you do the rear bumper relocation?

I left it in it's spot and made a filler panel to cover the gap. Thinking about replacing it with a tube rear bumper

When i put the body lift on my tahoe i bought the body lift from a friend that went to a 96 f150 for 50 bucks just for the lift blocks spent around 50 on the bolts and as for bumpers for the rear i put the original brackets on top of the frame and got a flat piece of steal and drilled 4 holes in it and bolted it on like that and for the front bumper i used 2 left over lift blocks to lift it three inches and 2 more pieces of flat seat to raise the brace bars behind the bumper and flipped my tow hooks upside down looks good
