Anyone running just a BL on a 2dr 4WD Yukon or Tahoe? I am thinking of doing mine that way. Can't go to high, wife is short! Plus are there any pros or cons to the BL's? And what's the tire size that'll work with it, to look good?

What are you guys running on yours with a 3" BL's?

If you have any pics that you could post it would be great!

Thanks

Cons are the gaps you will have between the frame and body and if you have a tow package there will be a gap between the rear bumper and it.
Pros are you will not have to worry about alignment.
Heres a 3in bl I can dig up the tire size if you want:

i had one on my 92 reg cab short box, it looked ok being taller and all but man did it feel top heavy and tippy. wasnt a real big fan of it after a while. maybe not so bad on a xl or extended cab truck. i was rolling with 285/75/R17 and it filled the wheel wells nicely.

mine is just body lifted.

just kidding. Pros for a body lift are cheap, easy to install. Cons are shows a lot of frame and not the greatest for a DD truck. You get the tippy feeling I hear

its been a while, but i think all you really have to adjust or extend is the shifter linkage for the transmission, just off the steering column.
yes you can do it, just need a good jack and make sure you do one side at a time, remove the bolts from one side and only loosen on the other side till you jack and insert blocks. then repeat on other side.
start all bolts before tightening.
instructions will be thourough enough to get you through regarding the rest (front bumper brackets etc...)

i installed my own, biggest pain in the ass i have had to deal with. simple, and straight forward to install, and nothin to em, but their still a *****. You have to install a steering extension, gas line extension, and remove your drivers seat and carpet to pull the shift linkage through, as was said above. For my personal experience, i snapped the two rear body mount bolts when removing them, and im lucky it was only two. i had to cut out two squares in my floor and weld in new plates with existing nuts on them - not fun at all.
-in terms of drive quality, they say nothing changes and remains factory quality, but thats bs, like everyone mentioned you get a "top heavy" feel. Not bad imo, but noticeable. keep in mind i only installed a 2" not a 3"

edit: also they have yet to make brackets for the rear bumper so you get an ugly gap, but i modified mine to move the rear bumper up and get rid of the gap.

this is the only pic of the rear bumper i could find but it gives you the idea-

Sounds like a BL is a lot more hassle than its actually worth and I don't like the way that topsy feeling sounds.... think i'll just save up my money, well what I can save with a baby coming and just get a suspension lift.... probably do a 3" or 4" because the wife's short and she'll have to be able to get the baby in too!!!

Thanks for the input guys, it's greatly appretiated and saved me alot of headaches and $$ that I would have spent.....
