I guess I'll consider myself lucky if it's a cat.. If only one rear one, even better!

Hot out, might be a couple days before I get to it. Mean time I'll soak the exhaust bolts.. might think about doing the exhaust manifold as well..

Downpipe to muffler clamp bolt. (1/2" head)
Wire brushed it. Soaked twice, finally got a big enough ratchet on there, plenty of space.

Doesn't look broken, seems fine at a glance

I only have the muffler disconnected, but the I dont think its the cat... Gotta clean up and get back to the drawing board..

you def for a weird one..


so can you log injector pw as well while this is happening along with fp

on 2nd thought, just log everything haha. throttle peddle, throttle blade %. maf and all that.


you could try failing the maf in hpt. so that it doesn't even look at it. you can try unplugging it as short cut, but the temp is in it. it would still run but be annoying with the fan blasting.

No sir.. but I did watch the pedal and throttle blade percentages in the Tech 2, and they both moved accordingly.
Other reason I don't think it's the throttle blade, when I do hit the gas and it bogs, you still hear the intake resonate..
Also can free rev motor fine.. Do get 3deg knock retard when I rev it fast off idle.

Tried unplugging the MAF as J91 suggested, no change.
As far as injector duty, the o2's seem indicate rich when bogging.
I don't see puffs of black smoke or smell gas, so I don't think it's overfueling enough to do anything..

Will log more channels tonight or tomorrow.. getting worried, keep the ideas coming!

so it goes rich when you step in the gas at low rpm, you're in a part of the map with low timing and it retards some and bogs.


I feel like when you find it it will be a simple thing, but what.


almost sound like weak spark blowing out. is voltage to the coil packs good, that one coil ground good? didn't someone just recently find about 3in back in the harness that ground was was eat up but looked good at the terminal.


could double check the tune. do a full ecm read, and then do a compare with the last known good to make sure something didn't get corrupted during flashing?
