I don't think mine has a chip in it. When I first looked at it the front seats were cloth and rear were vinyl. They said the Border patrol guys prefer the cloth because they don't get as hot. I had the dealer swap them all out to vinyl so they all match. They had to resolve some issues with the 4x4 not working and other cosmetic problems. I needed something for work, hunting and fishing. I took it mudding soon after I bought it and didn't have any problems.
