Bose sub replacement

Has anyone replaced the Bose sub with an aftermarket 6.5" sub? I was toying with the idea, of course powering it with an amp.

I'd say just pony up and get the stealthbox if you're going thru the effort.

I'm pretty sure you need the proper convertor/interface to keep the bose amps working properly, most likely a SLT has the bose system, thats probably why you're not getting any low end.

who installed your pioneer? did you buy or get billed for an expensive adapter? if not then you're probably not utilizing the bose amp, and therefore not using the factory (sub par) sub

I had a shop install the head unit and thought I bought everything I needed to get factory speakers working... I'll email now... thanks!
