Bose system with Navi

I've been having problems with the rear passenger speakers sounding distortioned. It's been replaced with by the local gm dealership.. Any ideas why it still sounds like that?

Check your amp to make sure the connections are good, I've heard that they can loosen over time and cause distortion

What's the best way to check the connections. I'm not sure where the amp is.

Could I take the sides off the console or would I have to take the whole thing off

Ive never done it, just done a bunch of research on the subject. But I would start with the sides and see if you can do it, if not remove it.
I forgot to ask if you have bose
If you do, then Your speakers run from the head unit to the amp and then to the speakers, so one of those is causing problems, most likely the amp since both speakers are doing it, and I assume your having no problems with the head unit.
If you don't have bose then there is no amp.

I do have a bose system, it's only on the passages side one. I'm not sure on what it is. I've read that the rear control unit with the heated seats for that back is that control unit goes bad and it make the speakers sound bad so I'm not sure. It's 185 for a new one. I just want to make sure that would clear it up if it is before spending that
