Brake help.....

I am looking for new pads and rotors for a 2017 Escalade. I want to start off by asking does/did anyone have good luck with slotted/drilled, slotted rotors? I purchased AC Delco HD slotted rotors and Hawk pads for my 2010 and when upstate in the mountains I had a horrible vibration once they got hot. It happened immediately after putting them on. Not so much a vibration in the steering wheel with warped rotors but something else that I dont want to deal with again.

I was leaning toward EBC Green 7000 pads, not sure about rotors. Any other suggestions for a pad/rotor combo? Thanks in advance for your help!

Is it an improvement over stock? I will be honest I was pleasantly surprised when I first drove this truck, it was night and day difference over the GMT900 stopping wise. Don't get me wrong its no M3 at 6000lbs but definitely better then my 2010 with aftermarket pads and rotors.

Just want something a little better then stock without breaking the bank.

I went with powerstop cryo slotted rotors, pads and steel lines. I came across a few concerns when it came to slotted and cross drilled rotors where some brands were cracking starting from the drilled holes.
The only problem I have with the slotted is it creates more brake dust than usual.

I noticed a slight change for the better but I wouldn’t say it was anything major.

I've always had really good experience with R1 Concepts Rotors and Hawk LTS pads. I've had Powerstop cryo rotors with EBC pads and although they performed well it was nothing noticeable or any extended life of the rotor for the extra "cryo treatment" premium. I'm not saying they were bad by any means, just nothing noticeably improved over other quality non-cryo treated rotors. After running the Powerstop Cryo rotor EBC pad combo I went back to R1 concepts rotors and Hawk LTS pads for just as good if not better performance and brake life for a better price.

Also, for a Street/Daily Driver application I would not run any drilled rotors. Plain or Slotted work well for Street/Daily Driver applications.
