Ive been having aa problem with my brake light. The drivers side wont work. I bought new tail lights and im still having a problem. They are hard wired in on that side because the person before me cut the harness and hardwired his new led set in. The parking light works and the turn signal.

Maybe go to a wrecking yard and get a stock harness and rewire it on your truck.

I called around only one place had it and they wanted wayyy to much. The u pull it yards dont have anything newer than 05. The previous owner said that he had a ground problem but i think if there was a problem with the ground in that side the lights wouldnt work at all

The stock harness connects on the frame under the taillight. Could try a continuity check on each wire from the light to harness plug. If problem replace short harness. If not it will be issue in feed harness from engine

It's probably in the junction box that 01Konvict was talking about- on the rear frame on the passenger side I believe.
